Capture Hub news

Our renowned Capture Hubs continue to roll out of the factory for delivery to industries all over the world.

Recent sales have involved Capture Hubs departing for locations ranging from Northampton to India. In Northampton, the Harting Technology Group develops customised solutions and services such as interconnectivity products for energy and data transmission applications, mechanical engineering, rail technology, wind energy plants and factory automation. Harting Technology ordered a Capture Hub through our distributor V-Tech SMT, based in Stirling, Scotland, and GTL Key Account Manager Simon Ogden recently carried out training in its use and the benefits it can bring at Harting Technology's premises in Northampton.

Another recent order was placed by global electronics giant Siemens in Cheshire, which will be replacing an old and less reliable device which is currently used. Siemens focuses on electrification, automation and digitalisation, and is a leading supplier of systems for power generation and transmission as well as medical diagnosis.

A large number of air tools are used throughout Siemens' assembly process and these are calibrated at regular intervals. The Capture Hub is ideal for this scenario as it allows static laboratory use and mobile data collection using an on-board memory and rechargeable battery. This enables the system to be used as part of a mobile calibration centre and also at point of use. The data can easily be transferred to PC by USB connection for seamless production of calibration certification.

This order also involved a specific request for additional calibration which our Service Centre was able to arrange. Usually this model of Capture Hub is calibrated from 0.5 N.m. to 5 N.m.; we carried this out and then performed a further calibration from 0.3 - 0.5 N.m. to ensure that Siemens' needs were met with complete precision.

We have been delighted to receive extremely positive feedback on the accuracy, flexibility and versatility of the Capture Hub, and the ease with which users become familiar with it. We would be delighted to demonstrate it to you so you can find out why it's rapidly becoming industry's must-have piece of calibration equipment. Contact for details.
