Ensuring that torque tools are correctly calibrated is essential to their accuracy, and our state-of-the-art in-house Service Centre is dedicated to keeping your tools in peak working condition. As you may have read on our website, our Service Centre is currently running a series of promotions which give customers a chance to win tickets for top quality football matches throughout the year.

For the first one, anyone who sent in a tool to our Service Centre to be repaired, calibrated or serviced in the first six weeks of 2017 (whether a GTL tool or another brand) was entered into a draw to win tickets to the EFL Cup. It's the 57th season of the EFL Cup, formerly known as the Football League Cup, and all 92 clubs from the Premier League and English Football League are featured. The prize match was contested by Manchester United and Southampton at Wembley Stadium on 26th February.

We were delighted to announce that the winner of this draw was Alan Green from Multipulse Electronics (pictured on the newsletter cover on match day) who attended the match with GTL's After Sales Team Leader, Alan Hancock. Based in Surrey, Multipulse Electronics is a technology specialist firm for major projects in the rail industry, including radio communications systems for trains and traffic light systems for Transport for London. Alan was a very apt winner as he is a Manchester United fan, so he was able to sit at the Man Utd end and watch his team win the EFL cup.  Alan Hancock reported that it was an exciting match, with Man Utd racing to a 2-0 lead, then opponents Southampton managing to level the game at 2 goals each. Man Utd finally scored the winner with 10 minutes or so to spare.

The second promotion offered a chance to win tickets to the England/Lithuania match on March 26th. Anyone who sent in a tool to our Service Centre to be repaired, calibrated or serviced up until 20th March was entered into the draw. Our winner on this occasion was David Howell, Assistant Head of Laboratory at Calmet Laboratory Services, with whom we work regularly on torque tool calibration.

GTL's Alan Hancock accompanied David (pictured right on the day), and reported a good match, especially as England won 2-0 and therefore moved a step closer to 2018 World Cup qualification. Even though David supports Newcastle United he managed to cheer when Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe scored the opening goal!

We will be offering further tickets to selected top matches throughout the year to companies using our Service Centre, so keep an eye on our website and social media for details. Ensure your tools receive GTL's first class service, and make sure you're in with a chance to win.
