Eisenwarenmesse 2016

There was an impressive Gedore presence at Eisenwarenmesse 2016, the International Hardware Fair held this year from 6th - 8th March in Cologne. Gedore branded banners lined the route to the main entrance, and all the companies under the Gedore umbrella shared a prominent and imposing stand. Many visitors came to discuss the recent rebranding, familiarise themselves with the sleek new company identity and find out more about both the current product range and a number of exciting projects currently in the pipeline.

Representing Gedore Torque Ltd were Kieron Smith, Managing Director, Bob Little, Sales and Marketing Director, Peter Shafe, R&D Manager, Purchasing Manager Antonia Greaves and Key Account Manager Simon Ogden. They were delighted to meet numerous customers and distributors, including representatives from Farnell, Luna, Mamiran, Hoffmann, Werks and many others, as well as having promising meetings with a number of potential new distributors.

On the Friday night before the exhibition opened, the Gedore Torque Ltd team attended an excellent dinner (pictured) at a Korean barbeque restaurant hosted by Connie Fong, the MD of Gedore Shanghai, and other members of the team. Also attending were Volker Knak, who looks after the China region for Gedore, and Hermann Steinhöfler, MD of Gedore Austria, where among other things all the pliers used by the Gedore group worldwide are manufactured.

Bob Little, Sales and Marketing Director, said "the Gedore Torque Ltd team was particularly pleased to meet the team from China in Europe this time, at the beginning of a very successful exhibition."

Prior to the start of the exhibition, Bob and Kieron attended a two day conference entitled 'GED Together', which was for all the Gedore sales and marketing management teams from around the world to examine current and future business strategy. It included some inspired team building exercises and was a useful focus for building on the new corporate identity following the recent rebranding.
