Jon completes Ride London

Jon Tyers is a welder at GTL, working mostly on our popular spanner range, customer special end fittings, prototypes, fixtures and calibration equipment sub assemblies. He is also a keen cyclist, and recently completed Ride London 2016 in a time of six hours and five minutes. The 100 mile ride begins at Queen Elizabeth Park in East London, continues out into the Surrey countryside and ends up back in London at the Mall. As in previous years, he was fundraising for Great Ormond Street Hospital, and raised in excess of £1300, which included a contribution from GTL in recognition of his efforts. Jon's training included riding up to 150 miles a week before work over ten weeks, including the main hill climbs on the course, which stood him in good stead on the day.
